Seeking Salvage follows the highs and lows of two salvage yards in the North West of England. At Ribble Reclamation in Preston new owner Paul is now firmly embedded in the business. Yard manager and old friend Dale is trying hard to keep up with Paul’s demanding drive to move the business forward, although he is struggling with Paul’s edict to stop buying things off the back of vans. With a keen eye to turning Ribble into a multi-million pound business, Paul has set his sights on buying more stock direct from overseas suppliers, so he has some big plans for him and Dale over the coming months to go abroad. New characters on the yard include Paul’s other daughter Katie, and Brian the on-site stone mason.
On the Beeston yard, brothers Trevor and Lee have got a number of large projects potentially coming up. These include reclaiming an entire sandstone church, demolishing the large hospital that was featured in the previous series and reclaiming as many of the 2 million bricks as possible, and getting involved in the reclamation of a few of the 160 railway bridges that are coming down over the next three years. Following on from their successful trip to France they are planning to go to Poland for their next trip to buy railway sleepers.
