The Crystal Maze – Celebrity Specials

Channel 4’s iconic adventure gameshow is back with an all-new celebrity line-up willing to take on the maze with a brand new Eastern Zone.

Maze Master Richard Ayoade will once again lead the celebrities through each zone in this 6’x60 series, which will see teams take on a host of skill, physical, mental and mystery challenges, in the hope of winning crystals that can be exchanged for time in the iconic Crystal Dome. The celebrity specials will once again see the teams aiming to win a prize sum for Stand Up To Cancer.

Leading the pack of celebrities that are set to tackle the new challenges of the maze is reality TV star Gemma Collins, along with TV presenter Carol Vorderman; comedian Ellie Taylor; reality TV star James “Arg” Argent and TV presenter Rick Edwards.

Professional dancer AJ Pritchard heads a team with comedian Tom Rosenthal; TV presenter Anita Rani; gold medal winning Paralympian Hannah Cockroft; and sports presenter Jeff Stelling.

TV personality Ferne McCann; former English cricketer Graeme Swann; actress Nancy Sorrell; and comedian Susan Calman will take on the maze with comedian Vic Reeves at the helm.

Politician Ann Widdecome will attempt to steer reality TV star Wes Nelson; TV presenter Matthew Wright; actress Sunetra Sarker, and actress Nikki Sanderson to victory.

Comedian Al Murray captains, with actress Kara Tointon; TV and radio presenter Melvin Odoom; actor Ashley Taylor Dawson; and reality TV star Olivia Attwood as they take on the maze.

Professional dancer Oti Mabuse takes charge of reality TV star Jack Fincham; TV presenter Anna Richardson; comedian Russell Kane; and actor Steve Pemberton.

With the introduction of the new Eastern Zone – influenced by the historic art, architecture and monuments of East Asia, and the added pressure of the new Mega Crystal option – a chance to supersize one crystal that, if won, could give them double the time of a regular crystal, there are sure to be a few unexpected hurdles in this new series.

The Crystal Maze started airing on Friday 21st June, 8pm on Channel 4.
