October 3rd 2018: BBC One has ordered six more episodes each of both Eat Well For Less? and Shop Well For Less?, including a Christmas special, from RDF TV West, a Banijay Group Company. This will make it the sixth and fourth series of the hit prime-time lifestyle formats.
Masterchef’s Gregg Wallace and Britain’s Best Home Cook’s Chris Bavin will be returning to Eat Well for Less? to help prove that households can save money on their food budget without scrimping on taste and nutrition. And Shop Well for Less? will see the return of The One Show’s Alex Jones and BBC Breakfast’s Steph McGovern in helping families change the way they shop without changing their lifestyle.
Both series continue to rate well on BBC One with series three of Shop Well For Less? achieving an average overnight audience of 3.2 million and the first half of series five’s Eat Well For Less? averaging at 3.7 million consolidated, both series are well above the benchmark for that slot.

Christmas is a time when families can often forget the good shopping habits they have, as they are blinded by blinging baubles and get caught up in the festive spirit! Steph and Alex will show us all that Christmas really doesn’t have to cost a packet.’
The series has been commissioned by the BBC’s Ricky Cooper and is Executive Produced by Jo Scarratt-Jones for RDF West.
